Air Force of Peru / Fuerza Aérea del Perú (FAP)

Formed initially as the Cuerpo de Aviación del Perú (Peruvian Aviation Corps) in 1929, following the merger of the aviation divisions of the Peruvian Army and Navy, it was renamed Cuerpo Aeronáutico del Perú (Peruvian Aeronautical Corps) in 1936. Reorganized in July 1950, the Peruvian Air Force became known as the Fuerza Aérea del Perú and is the aerial branch of the Peruvian Armed Forces.
