Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF)

Iniatially established as the Air Wing of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) in 1977, it became an independent service branch in 1987 to become known as the Bahrain Amiri Air Force (BAAF). In 2002 the state changed from an emirate to a kingdom resulting in the renaming of the Armed Forces, with the BAAF becoming the Royal Bahraini Air Force.
