About half of the people living in the Netherlands drink beer at least once a month. It's a cultural phenomenom to get together and poison ourselves as a bonding experience.
This poisoning of ourselves makes little sense from an evolutionary standpoint and yet humans are not the only creatures found to enjoy the past-time of getting wasted. However I still feel a weird bond with the monkey holding his head the day after as I know what its going through at that time.
Being drunk however just feels so human to me. Allowing ourselves to be vulnerable with one another by entering a state where one's inhibitions are lowered and where we decrease our capacity to respond to danger in order to signify to one another that we trust each other enough to do this as well as experience bonding through a shared experience.
A robot however can't ingest poison in the same sense as humans can. However can it still elicit a similar bonding experience as the regular animals can?
