Schopenhauer describes porcupines (hedgehogs) who want to huddle together for warmth in the cold but the closer they get, the more they hurt each other with their quills. Sounds Familiar?
The need for Intimacy and emotional connection is a fundamental aspect of being human and a paradox at the same time.
This dress defends the wearer if someone approaches too quickly or tries to reach fast. Although the hedgehog dilemma may not have been the original idea behind this, it relates to it in the sense that the dress looks beautiful and humans are generally attracted to something that they see as beautiful but the moment they try to touch or reach it doesn't let you.
When someone sees it from a distance
As soon as they get too close to touch
Make a creature that looks cute and clearly indicate that approaching and touching is fine but as soon as they get too close, the creature transforms and spikes come out of it. Hopefully the user will think about this and will get triggered about how this happens in our everyday lives. We long for intimacy and connection but some forces keep us apart.
