Here, you may find important general information, most of which is taken from the faq channel in the Discord server. It is recommended to ask any further questions in the OriginsBE Discord server (preferred), or on the add-on page.
The main pack consists of the base origins, the weird people (or weppl) origins and the extra origins packs.
OriginsBE and OriginsPE are separate addons made by completely different people, and they are also NOT compatible.
The add-on is usually kept up to date on CurseForge , MCPEDL , or the updates-downloads channel in the Discord server.
As of OriginsBE v1.4.12, the addon does not require any experimental settings.
It should be compatible with other addons as long as :
You don't have any other addons that utilize player.json. ( OriginsBE will display a warning message if you load up a world with one.)
Texture/Resource Packs utilizing player.render_controllers.json then morphs will not work.
Addons modifying any vanilla mobs might make them behave unintendedly towards some origins.
Also as long as this addon is on the top of the list it'll mostly be fine
As stated earlier, it is not compatible with OriginsPE.
Origins Merged has been renamed to OriginsBE, otherwise they are one and the same.
There are 2 quick main ways, each requiring cheats.
1) Getting and using the Orb of Origin from the Creative mode menu
2) Using the interface from the command /configui
With the use of a subpack however, the Orb of Origin may be crafted and used without using cheats. You may find it on the site here.
You can ban origins via the /configui menu using the Toggle Origins Usability option.
If Random Autoselect is turned on then you also need to disable them using the configui with the Toggle Origins Random Selectability option.
When you add the subpacks into a world, please make sure that any subpacks are below OriginsBE in the list, as shown in the example image. Although the image was taken on a computer, the process is basically the same on any other device.
Make sure to do this for both Resource packs and Behavior packs. If you do not know how to install add-ons, please search it up first.
If you are using a server, find out how to install add-ons into it. Just remember to keep the order.
If you are using Aternos as your server host, you need an extra step. Due to the fact that Aternos loads add-ons in alphabetical order, you need to rename OriginsBE so that it appears at the top of the list. Putting a 1 in front of it's name will do, as shown below when installed correctly.
Due to the way OriginsBE works, you may need to update your world/server so it starts tracking the new content.
If you are able to, run the command /function origins/cmd/recount_origins . Use it multiple times if needed.
Sadly, that is just not possible in bedrock edition right now.
No more new Origins will be added in the main OriginsBE pack. However, unofficial custom Origins and Origin add-ons may still be updated and added.
There is no "best" origin, every origin has their pros and cons and some might be arguably better than the others but there is no "best" origin.
