Using Google Scholar
Google Scholar uses the Google search function but finds academic results (journal articles, books and peer-reviewed material) instead of webpages.
It's a useful tool, though a lot of this material it finds may be behind a paywall. That is why using Newman's library search can be more effective (and less frustrating).
Using Google
Using the Google search engine is not the best place to find relevant evidence. It'll return lots of evidence - but most of it will not be reliable or relevant. Mostly, it'll just waste your time. Use Google Scholar or even better, Newman's library search.
