There are four steps to creating a recorded PowerPoint:
Step one: install PowerPoint
To record a presentation in PowerPoint, you'll need to install PowerPoint on your device. You have a free copy of PowerPoint as a student, so make sure you download Office365.
Step two: create and record the presentation
Once you've installed PowerPoint on your device, you can start creating your PowerPoint.
You'll need to go usual steps to creating any assignment:
Understand your assignment question.
Research to find and evaluate relevant evidence.
Plan and research, write, draft and re-draft, and research again.
Once you have a clear structure and central line of argument, you can build your PowerPoint.
Practice presenting.
Remember, you must use, analyse and reference relevant evidence to make a central line of argument in response to your assignment question.
Step three: export your recording
Once you have recorded your presentation, you'll need to export it as a video file (.MP4).
In the record tab, select export to video.
Name the file. Choose where to save it (using the browse button) and then select export video.
Step four: submit your recorded PowerPoint
4. In the drop down box, click 'my folder'
5. Select the file to upload, from your computer. It may take a while to upload and process, depending on the size of the file.
6. Move your mouse over the file, and click on the 'share' icon.
7. Where it says, 'who can access this file', click change and select 'anyone at your org who has the link'.
8. Select 'copy' the link.
9. Paste this link into a word document.
10. Upload your word document to Moodle. (See a guide to doing this here).
