CONCLUSION

Throughout this quarter, Simultaneous Interpretation challenged me in ways I didn’t expect, but it also helped me grow. Each activity, parroting, slow interpreting, paraphrasing, regular-speed simultaneous interpreting, and even literary translation, pushed me to understand how complex this skill really is. Parroting helped me train my focus and coordination, while slow interpreting and paraphrasing taught me to reorganize ideas without losing meaning. When I moved on to full-speed simultaneous work, I really felt the pressure, but I also saw myself improving little by little. Literary translation, on the other hand, made me appreciate the beauty of language and how tone and intention matter just as much as accuracy. 

Working between English and Spanish showed me the importance of staying calm, listening deeply, and trusting my own voice. Overall, this experience made the world of interpreting feel more real to me, and it showed me that progress comes with patience, practice, and the willingness to keep trying.
