In July 2020 we provided 4 variations of a letter to send to MPs during their summer recess, these have now been withdrawn.
We now have a letter to send to MPs as they return from their summer recess, this is detailed below.

Between April 2020 more than 300 people sent more than 400 letters to their MPs about 180 days visa-free travel. In July 2020 a further 250 letters were sent to MPs as they started their summer recess.
The Government's response has been to state that future mobility arrangements are still subject to ongoing negotiations with the EU”. As of September 2020 the EU/UK negotiations are nearly concluded. The letter below is intended to challenge the Government to provide tangible evidence of their statement.
The proforma covers the interests of second homeowners, boat owners, motor homers and others who travel frequently to Europe. It is applicable to MPs in any UK party.

Based on experience:
You may get an automated email from your MP which acknowledges your letter. This means they got it but nothing else. It takes time for them to review correspondence received
You may get a reply saying they have forwarded it to the minister for comment
We know MPs are dealing with huge volumes of correspondence so delays are inevitable. Though it may be frustrating to not get a response, we suggest you hold off chasing by email for 3 or more weeks. If nothing has been received then our suggestion is to send a further email along the lines of being saddened and disappointed by lack of response to a constituent.
