In Year 2, children learnt about different styles of music in the unit entitled 'Instruments (Theme: Musical Story Telling), and earlier in year 3, have learnt about 'Ballads' and 'Pentatonic Melodies'. They have also learnt about rhythms and how to notate simple rhythms.
In Year 4, children will continue to learn about different styles of music in the unit entitled 'Samba and Carnival Sounds and Instruments'.
