MBES 2159 | Design Thesis
The Design Thesis studio under the Master of Architecture programme is the final comprehensive design exercise in the training of the architect. The student shall be tested on his/her knowledge, skill and maturity accumulated throughout their formal education. It provides a unique opportunity for the students to pursue their own interests or specialisations in architecture using research-based design studies and architectural solutions established in one of their previous Design Pre-theses.

It provides a unique opportunity for the students to pursue their own interests in architecture and the built environment derived from research-based design studies or architectural solutions achieved in any of the previous three studios (Design Pre-Thesis 1, Design Pre-Thesis 2 or Design Pre-Thesis 3).

Design Thesis, students were required to take one of the previous pre-thesis design to detail up and integrate as many aspect as possible into the design process from social culture, environmental technologies and urbanism into the project. It provided a unique opportunity for the students to pursue their own interests or specializations in architecture using research-based design studies and architectural solutions established in one of their previous Design Pre-theses.
