In Kampung Baru, locals plant tropical herbs at their backyards. These herbs are usually for own

consumption especially for cooking and are not meant for economic purposes. The herb resource

centre will act as a platform to expose and showcase herbs, providing a training for these lucrative herb market as well as a seed distributor within the city. This is so that Kampung Baru can live up to his name -Malay Agricultural Settlement.
