In a recent emerging trend, urban parks received attention as a possible environmental factor that could encourage physical activity thus prevent obesity and reduce the incidence of chronic conditions. Despite physical activities, mental health should also be highlighted for community in an urban development to avoid stress and depression. Recreational activities for mental health likes activity synonymous with fun, sightseeing and relaxing activity such as sewing will be as one of the solution to avoid stress and depression. All of these activities are closely related with the wellbeing of people's mind.

This pre-thesis is to design an effective sewing place as an educational, recreational and income generating activities for the community. There are three main objectives for this pre-thesis which are to pursue sewing as an enjoying recreational hobby for all age and group of people, to educate the community with sewing skills and knowledge and to expand and create job opportunity with sewing skills knowledge.
