Kampung Baru is a Malay enclave in central Kuala Lumpur. Colonial British administrator gazetted Kampung Baru as a Malay Agriculture Settlement in 1900. As development progress, Kampung Baru has play it role in accommodating the neigbouring development. Known as heaven for food, Kampung Baru provide variety of delicacies to the city folks. In addition Kampung Baru is home for business startup for young entrepreneurs. To rejuvenate Kampung Baru, an Ubi Kayu Resource Centre has been proposed where its aim is to have a place that is able to to develop and expand potential usage of Ubi Kayu. In addition the Ubi Kayu Resource Centre also function as place a place for social interaction among community and enrich the culture of exchanging kueh in Malaysian society.
