Building facade is an important element and represents the character of a building, it can also be manipulated as a energy generator for the building itself. The renewable energy that will discuss in this paper is solar energy through photovoltaic.
There are several types of photovoltaic mechanisms such as fixed, single axis, and dual-axis panels. The study will focus on using the dual-axis PV panel and it will be integrated on the building facade to act as adaptive solar facade, at the same time, it becomes the sunshade to the building.
The movements of the PV panel that follow the sun's orientation will allow the building facade to be dynamic as well as add aesthetic to a building. The aim of this paper is to propose the building design with adaptive solar facade by implementing the dual-axis PV panel.
