What is a prairie? A prairie is a tall grassland that mostly has grass like plants and insects.
There are many types of prairies, some are short, mixed, and tallgrass. Some are wet prairies and they have lots of water, and some trees. Some other prairies are also dry and they have animals, and insects that live on them.
The question was how do species of bugs change in different plots and we went out with a net to catch bugs. First we went to plot 9 and there was grasshoppers, ladybugs, and caterpillars then we went to plot 6 and we used the net to catch the bugs. There were a bunch more of the same and new bugs in plot 6 than plot 9. We caught them by taking a net and sweeping the bushes and plants. Then once we caught the bugs we had a person dump the bugs out and then we took pictures of each bug.
When we went out to the prairie the bugs we caught were mostly the same. Mostly there was
Grasshoppers and little spiders and beetles. I think that because there were the same plants
In both of our plots there were also the same bugs. There were wheat plants and wheat plants are the most common in kansas.
