BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Prairies are enormous stretches of flat grassland with moderate temperatures, moderate rainfall, and few trees, our prairie was made in 2013. When people talk about the prairie, they are usually referring to the golden, wheat-covered land that is A natural Environment for animals, the free state prairie is set up in square shapes and rows of 3.
Background research
The direct relationships
The direct relationships are the way the animals treat each plot with the different plots.
We thought that since there were a lot of producers there would be a lot of consumer.
METHODS
First we went out and looked at all the plots we were doing our experiment on, then we decided which plot to set our camera up at ( preferably one close to trees) then we strapped it to a tree about 4 feet high off the ground. Then, we used the motion setting on the camera that would take a picture and a 20 second video each time motion was detected. We had the camera in each location for one day then we moved to the next plot with the same distance from the ground. the cameras were facing the school for the experiment. we waited for the camera to collect the data we needed and we were done.
Digital Map of the Prarie
This is our digital map of were we put the cameras up, and what plots we did.
CONCLUSION
Our project was to put up cameras and see which plots the animals like the best. We got no photos of animals in our plots. That doesn't mean that there were none, it just means none were by our cameras.
