Who we are,
I'm Jonathan, I am our visual director,
Cole is our Researcher,
And Sophie is our Documenter.
Methods
One of our methods was to go around and go inside of all of the plots in a row, Another one was to stand around and wait until we could see something in a plot.
Background
We are doing are research on the number of living things inside or near the flower plots compared to the grass plots we found multiple living things including a bunny birds maggot and a fly it is hard to get pictures as we only have a blurry photo of the maggot but we will make sure to try extra hard to get better ones at a better variety of animals.
We weren't really able to identify any food chain examples as the animals/insects we found were all not necessarily actively involved in any food chain. The trophic levels of the animals/insects we found were all either level 1 or 2. The dead grass that provided protection and shelter for some of the living things we identified in the plots.
Data we've found:
-our groups has found at least 7 confirmed alive animals/insects/worms.
-In plot 5 (grasses) we ended up finding nothing alive except for plants.
-In plot 6 (seeded grass) we found 2 birds and a worm.
-In plot 11 (also seeded grass) we found 2 birds in this plot.
-in plot 15 (grasses and Forbes x 2) we found nothing.
-plot 17 (grasses+Forbes) We found 1 bird and we found a bunny)
The picture below is of the worm we found in plot 6.
