Requirements for CHS Valedictorian and Salutatorian 

Students who have the highest and next highest cumulative grade point average and who have also successfully completed the Kansas Scholars Curriculum will be named Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Should a tie exist at either position, Co-Valedictorians and/or Co-Salutatorians will be named.

Kansas Scholar Curriculum

Kansas Scholars Curriculum is required for Valedictorian and Salutatorian honors and Kansas State Scholarship (profile of typical State Scholar - 29 ACT and 3.9 GPA), Kansas Teacher's Scholarship, and Kansas Minority Scholarship. These are the only three scholarships with these additional requirements, and they do not affect any other scholarship opportunities for students.
