Rumi Faizer, MD
Associate Professor
Division of Vascular Surgery
Research Vision:
All of our work focuses on Aortic disease. We believe that, while fairly rare, Aortic Aneurysm and Aortic Dissection are disease processes that can result in unexpected and preventable loss of life. By working on all fronts: from disease detection, to surveillance, to training the next generation of surgeons in repair, to developing newer repair technologies, we can make a major impact in aortic disease.
Research Areas:
Development and validation of pulsatile cadaver-based training in open abdominal aortic surgery
Development of a compliant Stent-graft to modulate blood pressure in aortic dissection
Development of an exportable aortic aneurysm screening and surveillance program for Epic-based health systems
