McKnight Land-Grant Professorships 2019-2021

The central purpose of the McKnight Land-Grant Professorship program is to strengthen the University’s faculty for the future. The program is designed to advance the careers of the most promising junior faculty members who are at the beginning stages of their professional careers, and who have the potential to make significant contributions to their departments and to their scholarly fields. The program is also intended to help build loyalty to the institution.  The McKnight Land-Grant Nomination Form for 2019-21 Awards and the nomination dossier are both due by midnight on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. 

Horace T. Morse-University of Minnesota Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education

Each year since 1965, the University of Minnesota has recognized a select group of teachers for their outstanding contributions to undergraduate education. The award, named for a former dean of General College, and is made possible through the generous support of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. Read nominations instructions. 

Nominations must be submitted to Austin Calhoun (calhoun@umn.edu) by December 1, 2018 for review by an internal Medical School committee.

Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate and Professional Education

Each year since 1965, the Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate and Professional Education has been given to a select group of teachers who reflect the University's emphasis on the importance of high quality graduate and professional education.
