Petitioning the Carlson Scholastic Committee for exceptions: Please contact your academic advisor if you would like to petition for an exception. They can help you gather the necessary information and guide you through the petition process.
Maximum Credit Load: Students may not register for more than 20 credits per fall and spring semester, or 15 credits during summer. If you are interested in taking more than the maximum credit load, please contact your academic advisor.
In Spring 2019, the faculty of the Carlson School approved grading guidelines for undergraduate courses that strongly encourage instructors to use criterion-based grading. Criterion-based grading changes the message from students competing with each other to students working to meet instructor expectations. It is the responsibility of the instructor to set the rigor of the course and design appropriate assessments so that differences in course achievement are reflected in differences in grades. Faculty hope this will encourage a collaborative learning environment that reduces incentives for hyper-competitive behavior.
These are common forms that students most often request. If you are not finding the form you need, please reach out to our office or email your advisor.
