Wellness at Carlson
If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed, you've landed in the right place.
College is a time of change, stress, and challenge for most students. It's normal to struggle sometimes. The Carlson School offers a full-time Wellness Counselor just for undergraduates. Her entire job is to support you.
Maureen Maslinski, MSW, LICSW, Carlson School Wellness Counselor, has been working in the mental health field since 1997 and is here to help.
There are many reasons you might seek out individual counseling from Maureen Maslinski. A few common topics are:
Adjustment to college or internships
Family, friendship, and relationship stressors
Trauma (both big and small)
Identity exploration (racial, sexual, gender, adoption, etc)
Microaggressions/Oppression
Learning self-care strategies
Feeling isolated or alone
Depression or suicidal thoughts
If you're dealing with any of these, or could benefit from help on another topic, make an appointment today. You can also send Maureen an email at masli032@umn.edu to learn more and be connected to other resources.
Counseling services are free & confidential for all students.
