My goal in life is to become rich enough to help my family out financially and live a life without any worries. I feel most passionate about my friends and family; I feel like love and loyalty are the two most important things that should come from your friends, regardless of how you look, regardless of whatever situation you're in. They should be there for you through thick and thin.
I also feel very strongly about helping others before helping yourself. I always hated it when my brothers and sisters were stressed about anything for example. I would drop everything I was doing to help them if they asked me. That was a while ago, now I want to be successful enough to make sure all my friends and family are able to live a happy carefree life.
One thing people wouldn't guess about me is that I love to listen to music and feel like I'm the artist singing the song myself as well as sing and dance to the songs. I feel like people I know wouldn't guess that because I'm a quiet, shy person in public but at home I'm the complete opposite; loud, funny, and very passionate about music.
I guess my love for engineering in general came from my love for Legos, just the idea of building entire structures or machinery from the ground up always fascinated me so I took as many engineering and math classes I possibly could back in high school. I plan to major in mechanical engineering.
The college experience was fun while it lasted in person. I met a few really good professors that I'll never forget and it was nice being able to drive to and from the Wilmington campus. It was an experience to remember, however the quarantine hit me like a train. Zoom class was foreign to me and it didn't feel right. I’m just saying that I’d rather be in person at UD rather than quarantined away.
I am truly thankful for the friends and family that helped me to get where I am today.
