One thing people may not know about me is that I have an identical twin sister, Ayana. We are both in the Associate in Arts program.
While in the AAP, I have developed a passion for science. Anatomy and physiology, alongside psychology are my favorite subjects. The program has allowed me to learn many skills. I learned how to manage my time as I had numerous assignments to do.
My favorite professor so far is Dr. Martin. He is my favorite professor because his methods and teaching style are a little unorthodox. He is extremely straightforward and doesn't sugar coat and I have respect for anyone who is like that.
One of my goals is to get a job within the next month. Before COVID I was working but because of the pandemic I lost my job. The virus has really taken a toll on me as I have been dealing with unemployment and not earning money. My other goals are to graduate with a good GPA, make a decent amount of money, buy my own apartment, travel to see the world, and learn how to play the piano.
Being able to work toward goals has made me work harder and is a reminder how resilient I am on a day-to-day basis. I was able to make the Dean’s list the first semester of the pandemic despite the difficulties. It shows me that no matter how hard things get, I can still find a way to overcome everything and end up on top.
