I work active orders for the Air Force working the COVID missions and other clinical duties on the New Castle base and preparing people for deployment. After work, I shift my attention to my family and take care of them and their needs because I’m at work so much and I don’t get to interact with them like I should. I try to help my 3 children with their speech since they’re learning two languages at the same time.
My first son being born is one of my favorite memories. It meant I had finally started the life of being a dad and the two that came after him have made me be even more grateful to be a parent and to be a mentor and a prominent father figure to them.
My goal is to get my bachelors in nutritional medicine and apply to the physical therapy program. I don’t do anything out of school because I work and then get to working on school stuff, but one thing I do like to do is at least a few times a week take my sons out for walks or play in the park because they get tired of being inside all the time.
I have many accomplishments in my life, but I guess I can say the most prominent and most recent one is becoming an Air Force medic after switching from the Marine Corps. It has opened a lot more doors for me because of the leadership qualities I am learning. My prior branch has helped me develop more of my professional skills and do bigger things for the Air Force as a medic and help the mission for the state of Delaware.
One of the experiences I value the most is learning to make yourself uncomfortable. There are many people that get comfortable and settle for what they have. But because I chose to make myself uncomfortable by volunteering for opportunities and trying new things it developed me more as a man and allowed me to do better for myself, which will pay back within time.
