Harrison Schone

I play piano and guitar. I garden and I love doing projects. I am building raised garden beds. I thought it would be a fun goal to be able to completely feed myself over a summer from my garden.

I spend my weekends working as a Barista in a coffee shop. It’s only open from 8-2 but it’s definitely a whole workday because of the amount of business for a 4 person team. Keeping track of the orders, drinks coming out, giving people table service, running food, it’s a lot, but I like having a lot of things going on at the same time.

I love being on a team. The role I love best is being a creative director or adviser. I get put in the leadership role a lot and I don't like that. But working on a team with people who are equally passionate about the project as I am, and us all being equal, it's better. I love the feeling of working with a team and getting something done that's bigger than you. It’s a beautiful thing.

One of my biggest accomplishments I can say is going back to school. I had taken a break and decided to come back and that can be really hard. It is a hit to the pride. Coming back hurts a little but making the mature decision to go back to college and tough out the classes is a big accomplishment because it took some time to figure out what I wanted to do.
