With few exceptions, workshops are planned over a two year cycle and are only offered once during the two year family medicine program.
Regular workshops supplement the academic activity and deliver programming difficult to access during the Academic Days.
Residents must be freed from any clinical duties to attend this mandatory activity, this includes being post-call.
Any unexcused absences may be kept on a resident’s permanent file and will require an explanation in writing to the program.
The Program may require completion of an additional assignment or supplemental activity in lieu of an absence from a mandatory activity.
Attendance at all workshops is mandatory and required for program completion.
Ensure rotations and preceptors are aware in advance of mandatory academic events
If an absence is unavoidable, inform as soon as possible in an email: FMPA, Site Admin, rotation Preceptor, Faculty Advisor, and the activity facilitator.
