It is the responsibility of all residents to review the curriculum objectives before and throughout a rotation. Residents should reflect on these as they relate to personal learning needs, in this way, maximizing learning opportunities. We also ask that preceptors be aware of the curriculum objective, and be able to discuss with their residents how best everyone benefits from any particular rotation or experience. All residents (PGY1 and PGY2) :
return once every two weeks for a full clinic at the home site (or each week for a half-day clinic)
attend one academic day per month

Family Medicine Blocktime - 20 weeks
Integrated Family Medicine Obstetrics (FMOB)
Obstetrics - 2 weeks
Internal Medicine** - 4-8 weeks
PCHT/Hospitalist** - 0-4 weeks
CCU - 4 weeks
Pediatric (Outpatient) - 2 weeks
Pediatric Emergency - 4 weeks
Emergency - 4 weeks
Vacation - 4 weeks

**Integrated Option - may be replaced with elective time if successfully integrated into Family Medicine Blocktime
In the second year, 20 weeks of Family Medicine block time may be spent with either urban or rural based community family physician(s). A minimum of 8 weeks of rural family medicine is required.
Urban Family Medicine - 0-12 weeks
Rural Family Medicine - 8-20 weeks
Geriatrics - 4 weeks ***
