The course is designed to help you understand climate change law and policies in action through real-world contexts and by learning from community partners with immense experience. You will also be provided opportunities to make inputs to an emerging area of law with drastic implications for every imaginable area of human life. Students have worked with partners on projects, including a national framework for peatland conservation in Canada, renovictions and green building standards in Edmonton, and an effective bylaw for addressing climate change in Edmonton’s River Valley.
The course entails:

ii. Ten weeks of placement entailing four volunteering hours per week
iii. Weekly classes for debriefing and discussing substantive topics during placement (1 Hour 20 Minutes for weekly classes)
