METHOD OF EVALUATION
Students will be evaluated based on a research paper (75%) and class participation (25%).
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The focus of this seminar is on developing an understanding of health law and health care ethics, and of the relationship – and tensions – between law and ethics in the health care context. The course will cover various topics in health law, including resource allocation in health care, patient safety, medical tourism, medical assistance in dying, and racism and access to health care.
