COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is an introductory course on Canadian intellectual property (IP) law. It explores fundamental principles and legal rules that govern the main types of IP, including copyright, patents, trademarks, and industrial designs. For each type, students will study the eligibility criteria, scope of protection, and infringement issues. The course also covers trade secrets and traditional knowledge.
