What a cool project we did in 7th grade!

Students studied countries in Africa in Social Studies class

While studying endangered species in those countries in Science class

And then writing a podcast about some of those countries, describing the culture and conflicts (after having studied conflict types in literature while reading A Long Walk to Water, which is set in Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya).

The final piece to the puzzle (haha!) was to make a puzzle piece!

Students were given a puzzle piece of their country, painted it, and attached information from their studies to display their learning!
