At Ixworth CE Primary School safeguarding is key to all we do. 

We all take responsibility for safeguarding our children.

E Safety Education

Lead teacher in E safety education and Computing 

SENCO:

Holds a recent SEND Award, SEND surgeries for staff, regular communication and support for parents.

Pupil Well Being Lead: 

On duty at playtimes to support children,  1:1 & small group work with children, parent drop ins. Trained in anxiety, anger management and attachment.

Thrive trained Mental Health Lead:

Works with children on Social and Emotional Development. Support for families. 

LAC Lead,: 

Gold Level PEP - awarded  by Virtual Schools for second year running

Breakfast Club & After School Club: 

Offers support with homework and reading by familiar adults in an informal setting.

Pit Stop Lunchtime Club: 

Offering an alternative to the playground for children who choose to play inside  at a range of quieter activities with a smaller group of children with adult support.

Nursery On Site: 

Good transition  into Reception, strong links with parents & Health Visitors

Regular Personal Social Health Education sessions (PSHE)  including Relationships Education for all children

Strong working relationships with external professionals for example: County Inclusive Services, School Nursing Team,  Speech & Language Services, Dyslexia Outreach,  FASD Network.

Common Assessment Framework (CAF) offer, host for Family Network Meetings & Triple P  Parenting Sessions.


Language Links: Staff trained in approach,  assessments & interventions for Early Years' children who struggle with  language comprehension.
