Step-by step guide
Gather your prioritised concepts together
Make sure you have all your learnings available and ready. We recommended doing the concept prioritisation first so you know roughly what you’d like to test.
Start your hypothesis statement with ‘We believe that...’
This is the new experience/feature you are proposing, e.g. ‘We believe that showing the live location of the delivery driver...’
Then say who it’s ‘for...’
This is the customer/persona that this solution is for, e.g. ‘delivery customers’
And finish with ‘will achieve...’
This is the desired outcome that you’re looking for, e.g. reduced anxiety about when the delivery will arrive.
Look at your finished hypothesis and iterate
Your final hypothesis could be something like ‘We believe that showing the live location of the delivery driver for delivery customers will achieve reduced anxiety about when the delivery is going to arrive.’
Prioritise your hypotheses statements
You’ll probably have number of hypotheses that you want to test so you get the team together and prioritise your hypotheses.
Next steps
Take your prioritised hypotheses statements and decide how you’re going to test them.
