Step-by step guide
Assess and analyse the performance
Refer back to the Performance Monitoring & Measuring Success method to assess critical metrics and customer feedback: what is working well? What is not working at all? You may also want to survey your customer-facing teams to see if there are any trends.
Create a roadmap
Print out a calendar for the next year and think about the key milestones you want to hit.
Put post-it notes on critical dates and think about what needs to happen each month to scale up.
Visualise what success looks like for each milestone and integrate into your roadmap.
Consider creating a new version of your Business Model Canvas for the scaled-up solution.
Understand current conditions
Review your to-be scaled up solution through the sweet spot seen in Concept Prioritisation and determine any immediate areas for optimisation. It could be helpful to map out the current conditions and potential scale conditions side by side, highlighting areas where improvements are necessary.
Back to Exploration
Once you have determined some areas you may need to optimise, it may be helpful to conduct more desk research and interviews with experts & new target customers to understand direction and guidance on extra features better.
Optimise and Adapt
Apart from conducting new rounds of research and identifying new opportunities, you will want to circle back to prototyping and iteration before committing to scaling up or making those changes. Pay special attention to partners that can support you in scaling up or implementing new features.
