What is Oral Motor Sensory Input?

Oral motor sensory input is a complicated system that receives a variety of sensory information provided to the brain.  It includes sensory inputs from our taste, touch, and proprioceptive (pressure) sense.  It also can be affected by what we see, smell and eat.  Oral sensory processing plays a huge role in what we eat, but it also contributes to our self regulation.
