What are Mobility Aids and Adaptive Equipment?

Various types of equipment may be employed to adapt or accommodate function with the goal to achieve independence with daily living skills.  Mobility aids may include, but are not limited to: wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, trikes, etc.  Adaptive equipment may include orthotics, technology supports, equipment to assist with daily activities, etc.
