Assistive technology is devices or technology for students who require support for activities such as reading, writing, communicating or learning. Devices, computer hardware, software and apps may provide features such as text-to-speech, word prediction, or graphic organizers. For students that cannot use a regular keyboard, touchscreen or mouse, technology such as alternate mice, onscreen keyboards, eye gaze and/or switches may be helpful. Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services supports students to access technology to meet their unique needs and also supports teachers to integrate technology into the classroom.
