Haven't received an offer of admission by May 28th? Please open the attached flyer and see what your options are.
If you encounter any issues, please feel free to contact OUAC for assistance:
Anyone attending an Ontario high school, who is under 21, and will be receiving an OSSD is considered a Group A applicant – there are no citizenship requirements. When creating your OUAC account, please apply as a GROUP A applicant.
They will need to answer a new question when they enter their current high school(s): “Will you be taking courses at this school anytime from Sep 01, 2025, to Aug 31, 2026?”.
If they answer “Yes”, they will then be asked to enter the year and month they first started at the school.
Note: We often get questions about the Highest Year Level Achieved field. Students can add the highest year they expect to achieve at their school, e.g., Grade 12.
What do you need to apply to University?
Applying to University? You must be enrolled in 6 U/M Gr.12 Courses (one must be ENG4U1)
Can I apply with 5 U/M courses because I plan to take my 6th Gr. 12 U/M course in summer school?
No.
What is a Mident Number?
Every Ministry approved school has a unique number identifying its school. FLCHS: #707708
Do I need to request a transcript? How do the Colleges/Universities get my grades?
If you take a course with the TCDSB, the Colleges/Universities will automatically receive your grades. If you take a course at a private school--the school MUST manually enter your grades. If you take a course at any other board, you must ask the school to send Ms. De Rose or Ms. D'Souza a mid-term and final report card so we can enter your marks on the OUAC/OCAS website.
I took a course at a private school. Now what?
Are you taking a course in private school/non-TCDSB school? it is the responsibility of that institution to ensure that the course and grade are updated on your OUAC application. You must then submit your final report card for these courses to guidance for transcript inclusion
In Ontario, the last day you can expect to hear back from a university with an initial admission decision is May 28, 2026.
What to Expect by the Deadline:
The Three Responses: By May 28, 2026, the university must give you one of three decisions: an offer of admission, a refusal, or a deferral pending further information (such as final summer grades).
The Reply Deadline: Once you receive your response, the earliest date an Ontario university can require you to officially accept an offer or make a financial deposit is June 1, 2026.
Waitlist Decisions (The Exception): While initial decisions wrap up in late May, waitlist offers are handled separately. Universities will continue to send out rolling waitlist offers throughout June, July, and August as confirmed students drop out or shift plans.
