Each year, every high school in Canada may nominate one university-bound graduating student for the Schulich Leader Scholarship.
A Schulich Leader Nominee represents the top entrepreneurial-minded student pursuing a STEM university program and in turn, becomes eligible to win a $100,000 or $120, 000 scholarship.
This dynamic student demonstrates: Academic excellence, Leadership, charisma and creativity, Plans to pursue a career in one or more of the following focus areas: technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and business enterprise, applied scientific research.
*Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
A Schulich Leader Nominee is NOT: focused on activism (environmental/political/societal), intended to become a practicing physician or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Optometrist, etc.), intending to become a Professor and conduct theoretical research.
After reviewing the provided information, if you would like to be considered as the school nominee, please fill out the Google Form before FRIDAY, JANUARY 10th, 2025.

Schulich Builders: Scholarships for Skilled Trades are scholarships for students enrolling in an eligible, full-time skilled trades program at a participating college in Ontario. Ten colleges will award a total of 100 scholarships annually. Each college will award:
Five $20,000 scholarships for one-year certificate programs, and
Five $40,000 scholarships for two-year diploma programs.
These scholarships will support the costs of tuition, tools and living expenses.
Every high school in Ontario may put forth up to five student nominations.
The nomination deadline is March 15, 2024.
Online application is now open for the 2025 Mon Sheong Golden Jubilee Scholarship. The award recognizes graduating secondary students who demonstrate academic excellence, community engagement and a desire to make real change. Two new award recipients, each of whom will receive $1,000 per year for the duration of their post-secondary studies, up to a maximum of four years.
The award is open to all students who are:
Graduating from an Ontario high school or CEGEP with a minimum average of 80% among their top 6 Grade 12 or CEGEP marks;
Enrolled full-time in a degree or diploma program at a recognized and publicly funded Canadian university or college beginning Fall 2025; and
Passionate about making a difference in their community or the world.

Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) Past President’s Scholarships is available to high school students pursuing post-secondary education. Eligible students may apply for one of eight awards: two $5,000 first-place, two $2,500 second-place, two $2,000 third-place, and two $1,500 fourth-place awards.
To be considered for these essay-based scholarships, applications must be submitted via email to scholarships@trreb.ca no later than Friday, March 28, 2025 at 3 PM. Attached is the Scholarship Application form and eligibility requirements to share. The application process and form can also be accessed on TRREB.ca. Bursaries for Post Secondary Studies in French as a Second Language Program (funded by the Government of Canada): If your first official language spoken is English and you are pursuing your postsecondary studies in French in Canada, you could be eligible for a non-renewable $3,000 bursary.
The 2024 CBC Poetry Prize: Calling all poets! You could win $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, a two-week writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and have your work published on CBC Books. Last year’s winner was a high school student! Deadline is June 1.
The Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business & Professionals (FPCBP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting various business initiatives and fostering academic achievement among Luso-Canadian Youth.

Eligibility for Participation:
Student applicants must be Ontario residents currently enrolled in Grade 12 - High School.
Applicants must also meet the criteria outlined for Portuguese descent as detailed in the application guidelines.

Guidelines and Rules for Student Applicants:
Provide a brief biography highlighting academic achievements, work and volunteer experiences, and the reasons they believe they should be considered for this award.
Encouraged to share any personal challenges that have shaped their educational journey, particularly those that demonstrate their determination and perseverance.
May also include how this scholarship would support their goals and positively impact their future.
Important Points to Consider:
All applications must be electronically submitted via the provided application portal by the deadline of March 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM (EST).
Submissions via email will not be accepted, and incomplete applications will not be considered for review.
Only successful candidates will receive communication regarding their application status.
Recipients of Prizes:
Awardees are required to attend the 2025 FPCBP Gala on May 10, 2025, at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton to receive their scholarship.

Honours and awards: volunteering
Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA): Colin Hood Award - This award is given out annually to one graduating male, one graduating female, and one coach in every school in the province who, throughout their high school career, have been committed to the success of school sport at their school and within their Association. Deadline is May 31.
PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association of Canada) Ian Webb Scholarships: Open to any Sons/Daughters, Grandchildren, etc., of PGA of Canada Members. Five scholarships. Deadline is June 28, and the Evaluation Forms must be received by July 10.
Athletics Canada: Andre de Grasse Future Champions Scholarship. Open to high school student-athletes – who are not yet a member of a registered track and field club – to support their pursuit of academic, athletic and personal success. The emphasis is on supporting youth from marginalized or remote communities, and on Speed/Power events. Twenty-one student-athletes were selected in 2023. Deadline July 31 in 2023.
