RE: NEW SUMMER CO-OP Central Placement Opportunity-TRADES by DESIGN
The TCDSB OYAP and Co-op department invites your students to participate in the inaugural year of our Trades By Design summer co-op program.
The TCDSB Trades By Design summer program is scheduled to run from July 2nd through August 9th, 2024.
This unique program offers students the chance to explore multiple trades in Construction or Transportation during one summer while earning two co-op credits. TCDSB is partnering with organizations such as the City of Toronto, TTC, and various high-rise developers.
Example Experiences:
Truck & Coach, Fleet Service and Welding
Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, and Welding
Target Group:
16 years old as of July 2nd, 2024
Students who have completed Grade 10
Students who are in or have just completed Grade 11
Construction and/or Transportation SHSM
Students who cannot accommodate co-op in their regular day schedule
Additional Details:
Students will receive the required PPE and special industry training.
Please DO NOT register interested students in summer co-op; we will register them as a cohort once they have been selected.
Instead, please share the following Google Form with the student, and the CENTRAL OYAP/ Co-op team will contact them directly.
