Read through this page for additional information about the KLOAT.
Watch a quick summary video of the KLOAT below:
This is built into the Life Online Advice Tool and is controlled (once switched on) within the Scope of Service by ticking or unticking the KiwiSaver Advice box - this has been moved under it's own heading.
When you tick KiwiSaver Advice, the KiwiSaver section will appear in the sidebar.
When you untick KiwiSaver Advice, the KiwiSaver section witll be removed from the sidebar and a text box will appear for further notes on why the client has chosen not to proceed with this Advice.
If the Disclosure & Scope of Service are saved to file, the KiwiSaver section will be unlocked and is able to be accessed at any time.
If pages within this section are not completed, this will not prevent you from completing the Declaration and moving into the Statement of Advice on the LOAT.
A maximum of people from the People & Entities section will pull through into the KiwiSaver section
Be sure to enter the client's KiwiSaver details into the Assets & Liabilities page and this will pull through into the KiwiSaver (Your KiwiSaver Page) section.
If nothing is entered into the KiwiSaver section you will need to add the client's KiwiSaver details manually.
These pages remain unchanged (the same as the KOAT).
Presentation Pages: You are able to work through the slideshows for each page by clicking the centered pagination under the animation.
KiwiSaver Projection: Available if you would like to talk through projections with your client.
Risk Profile: Complete these three questions to proceed through to the KiwiSaver Summary.
On the KiwiSaver Summary Page, in the bottom right corner (beside Next) there is a Create & Sync KOAT button.
This will create a KOAT in the backend and sync the information from the KLOAT across.
Once this button is pressed, it will change to Open KOAT.
Upon clicking this, the KOAT will open in a new window.
The Advice Process will be completed up to the Providers page.
If you don't choose to use the Create & Sync button or forget to sync this, you don't need to worry.
If you create a KOAT separately on the client's file with any of the Clients Involved in the KLOAT, a prompt will pop-up confirming that there is unsynced information and asking if you'd like to sync.
This will pull all information across from the KLOAT up to the Providers page, except for the Disclosure & Scope of Service. These will need to be resaved to progress to the Advice Summary.
If the client has changed their mind or has decided not to proceed with KiwiSaver Advice, you are able to remove adults from the KOAT within the Your KiwiSaver Page.
This option is only available if there are two Clients Involved in the KOAT and only one client will be able to be removed.
Click the pencil to open the Client's Detail's pop-up and select Remove Client.
This will remove them from the KOAT, including the Advice Summary.
If your client would like to proceed with your advice for their dependants, you are able to add or remove dependants (if they don't wish to proceed) from within the Report Builder Page under the Advice Summary section.
Simply click the 'Add Dependants' button and the first child on file will be preselected. Click their name to choose another option from the dropdown, or click save to add them to the KOAT.
You are also able to remove Dependants from this section by clicking the rubbish bin icon.
Both of these options will add or remove the Dependant from the Advice Summary and the Report Builder pages.
