Align & Redesign is an innovative, research/evidence-based service delivery model designed for students who failed to thrive in public education returning to adult education for a high school certificate. Align & Redesigned changed students’ lives, built on their innate intelligence, and developed the social and cognitive skills to become successful learners/workers. In this video presenters share about a 4-year professional learning component that led educators through a rigorous personal transformation to shift from “teacher” to “host of learning”. This innovative transformation is ready for replication at all levels of education.
Laura Weisel, CEO, The TLP Group, focuses on schools & students that fail to thrive. With a Ph.D. in Educational Policy & Leadership, Neuro & Cognitive Psychology, and Research, Laura researches how to redesign education services. The core shift is from focusing on teaching to focusing on learning, how brains learn, addressing learning challenges, and creating services aligning with natural learning processes that lead to all youth and adults becoming valuable members of our communities. laurapweisel@gmail.com
