Installing the RingCentral App

Note, you will need Administrator access to install software on your  

computer. Please contact the Taft IT Office for assistance if needed.

Select "Download for Mac" or "Download for Windows."

Click on the downloaded file to start the installation.

The installation for a Windows computer is really simple. Just follow the installation prompts.  With the Mac installation there are a couple of prompts that will require your input. See the detailed Mac installation instructions below.


Mac Instructions:

Click Continue.

Select "Install for all users of this computer" and click Continue. Depending on the version of the MacOS you may just need to click Continue.

Click Install.

When prompted for your password to install new software, enter your computer login password.

If prompted to allow access to the Downloads folder, click OK. This prompt is also dependent on the MacOS version.

When the installation is finished it will open the RingCentral App. Note, the installer will still be running in the background and can be closed after. If prompted to grant the RingCentral App access to record the computer's screen. This is for recording video meetings. Click on Open System Preferences and ensure the toggle switch is on or the box is "checked off" to allow access. You will be prompted to enter your computer's login password to make this change.
