The new date for transitioning from Mitel to RingCentral phone service is August 30th.
Here are some key points to note:
Service disruptions will occur during the switch.
5300 series phones will be upgraded to a 6920 series phone. Existing 6900 series phones will be migrated to RingCentral.
Voicemails will not be transferred between systems but will continue to be delivered to your Taft Gmail.
A new voicemail greeting must be recorded; otherwise, the default system greeting will apply.
Speed dials will not be transferred; you'll need to reprogram them on your current or new phone after the migration.
Dialing "6" for outside calls is no longer necessary; dial the number directly. Internal calls will still use the 4-digit extension.
An email will be sent about installing the RingCentral app on your computer and/or mobile phone. The app allows for full account functionality. Further installation details will follow.
Department web fax numbers will be migrated. All phone users will also have access to web fax services via the RingCentral app for both MAC & PC.
RingCentral-led end user training is scheduled for August 23rd at 1-2PM.
The session will be recorded for later viewing.
