Honesty is a valuable trait. It shows character and describes who and what you are. I believe it is one of the greatest traits one can have. As a professional, honesty demonstrates the type of worker you truly are. The artifacts I chose for Honesty are Bereavement Across the Life Span because it demonstrates how honesty is the best policy especially when it comes to grief and loss. A school counselor in training models sound moral character and integrity by showing professionalism, doing what they say they are going to do, advocating for the students and demonstrates being an honest and trustworthy human being. These all can be seen within a school day by what an SCIT does and how she interacts with the students, staff and family members. It is important to build relationships with the students, so they will know what type of person one is and so they can feel safe and have comfort.
