Curiosity is part of learning. It allows us to try new things, discover, imagine and ask questions. As a school counselor, my curiosity never stops. I want to try new things within my lessons and new activities with my students. Curiosity allows me to take on new challenges and to think outside of the box. The first artifact I chose for Curiosity is the Literature Review which explains how qualitative and quantitative data can spark curiosity to determine what data can show and do to help students. In addition, I chose the Use-of-Time 5 Day Analysis because it gives me the opportunity to see how and where I can be more creative and see where I may need to monitor and adjust different areas in my schedule and with my services for students.

Curiosity begins in the classroom. Bulletin boards and student work shows how students' work displays their curiosity. Displaying important concepts like Kindness, allow student's curiosity to begin to wonder about those different concepts or be exposed to them. Asking questions, working in groups, doing research and learning new concepts allows curiosity to be brought to life within the classroom. My own curiosity is sparked by attending different conferences like the Arizona School Counseling Association Conference in Phoenix every year and going to District Professional Developments.
