Time Capsule

In my time capsule drawings I focused on the corner of our art room, a maple syrup bottle and my face of course for the self portrait. For these drawings I used only graphite to draw and shade. For the corner of the art room I chose this because I found the corner the most interesting of my surroundings. The maple syrup bottle I drew because I was intrigued by its shape. I also drew my self portrait in the position I was in because it was the easiest to draw and look at the mirror at the same time which made it easier to make the drawing more accurate.

I used a lot of different shades of lines as well as shading to show how my drawing really looks in real life. I wish that I had incorporated some colors into my artwork to better portray the shades and how it looks as well as some finer details.

For the maple syrup drawing it is important because our family makes maple syrup and it is important to me because it is something that we do and have done for as long as I can remember. I think that my drawing of the corner of the room could be stronger because I felt could have added more than just one part of the corner.
