Sea Life by Nathan Abbott

I made this piece of art using a pencil, a sharpie, and some colored pencils. I chose to make this because I was recently reading an article about sea animals and some of the shapes that I had to work off of looked similar to some I had read about and inspired me.

I think that some techniques that are shown in my artwork are creativity using and working off of a mistake as well as using my imagination also I used different techniques of shading with the colored pencil to make some objects stand out over the backdrop.. I would like to change some of the materials i used such as using watercolor to make the water look more fluid and as one solid form.

I think the story behind my artwork is my interest of sea life at that particular time after reading about it in an article recently. I think this project relates to my life because it really connects to me because i do this a lot in my artwork when i make a mistake, using the mistake to make something creative out of it. I might revise the materials i used and use watercolor to make my art look more fluid.
